nice little fly
this is probably a specimen of Backomyia. One of the key features is/are very stout, black bristle(s) off the basal antennomere. I *think* I can see that from your photo. Was it collected on rocky substrate along the edge of a cliff/canyon? That's where we usually see them in Quay Co., N.M.
