Anthonomus, deep brick red, on Curlycup Gumweed - Anthonomus - Female
6 miles NW Lyons, Boulder County, Colorado, USA
August 21, 2011
Size: BL~6 mm without snout
I think this is an Anthonomus, It is on Curlycup Gumweed, but it is the only one that is not striped as in the squamosus group, although it is quite scaly. In the CO foothills at ~6400' elevation. Long snout indicates female. Any help is much appreciated.
