Ground Beetle - Nebria eschscholtzii

Ground Beetle - Nebria eschscholtzii
Near Canyon Dam Beach, Lake Almanor, Plumas County, California, USA
August 5, 2018
Size: Body length 11mm
Found under a rock, along a rather rocky and graveled section of shoreline. This was one of many seen under various rocks. These beetles can run like the wind; and were difficult to catch amongst the shoreline rocks and gravel. See also this specimen: (1), found at same location.
