it probably is the same species....
but I was starting to doubt my id on that other one. Also I'm hoping to find

. I haven't really figured out how to tell apart

That's an amazingly perfect match!! I'm starting to lean towards
Spissistilus festinus
for both of my images.
It sounds as if the taxonomy with these genera is a mess...
I'm pretty sure I have the specimen for the image above (but not for my older image). I may get it out and see if going through
this key
helps at all.
