ant swarm - Lasius - female

ant swarm - Lasius - Female
Greeley Park, Nashua, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
August 15, 2018
Came upon a swarm of ants on a sandy path in a power line right-of-way around 5:30pm. Ants were pouring out of uneven holes in the ground (no mounds). I have included photos of workers and alates, and if any other angles are needed for ID I'm sure I could find them, as I took a few hundred photos of the spectacle. I am interested to know what species this is, as I've never seen them before!

This first photo was one of the hundreds of future-queens.

Moved from Ants.

Lasius (Lasius) sp.
I don't know enough about this genus at the moment to know the species, but it is one of the darkly colored ones.
