Arizona Moth - Ixala desperaria - Male
Miller Canyon, Huachucha Mountains, Cochise County, Arizona, USA

Similar specimen - also from Miller Canyon like mine - identified in one instance on BG as a male Ixala desperaria Hodges 6695 . I'm not certain this is correct - the discal spot is hollow on this specimen while that feature never shows up on any other desperaria image in MPG or BOLD. All others are tinier solid dots such as for . Other features also don't match desperaria. But I can't so far find anything else that matches online, so submitting for other ideas.

Moved from Geometrid Moths.

Pectinate antennae = ♂
The fore-wing's hollow-or-solid discal spots might be slightly variable on these.
