Inocelliidae, Negha sp. - Negha - male

Inocelliidae, Negha sp. - Negha - Male
Ash Mountain, elev. 2,800', Tulare County, California, USA
March 1, 1986
Size: ca. 15 mm.
Don Burdick and Norm Penny identified this as a species of Inocelliidae. They indicated that the long, beaded antennae were diagnostic for this family. Nomina list three species in North America, all in the genus Negha.

Sorry about the shrivelled abdomen. I doubt that I'll have time to make the trip up to the foothills this spring for a live picture.
