July 25, 2018: meander with my friend Moni looking for insects and sign of, found this cocoon
August 4, 2018: green lacewing
In readying the photos for BG, I realized I did not understand the photo of the spent cocoon. Thanks to G. Courtney who wrote: "Looks to me like a typical chrysopid cocoon and a nicely intact pupal exuviae. Pupae are decticous & exarate... recall from class what these terms mean?"
