Carabid - Dyschirius haemorrhoidalis

Carabid - Dyschirius haemorrhoidalis
Pulaski County, Kentucky, USA
May 12, 2007
Size: 2.5 mm
D. haemorrhoidalis. The small beetles of the Clivinini tribe are among my favorites.

really?!
I've found them challenging to ID (mostly 'cause they're challenging just to see!). I've got at least 5 species on my current backyard list, but only one imaged and posted. I've spent a little time this fall trying to improve my still image technique, so I'll try to post a few shortly and perhaps you can correct any IDs I missed. btw, nice image!

Thanks.
They are difficult because of their size but these little diggers capture my interest for some reason. I have a number of other species to post and look forward to yours.
