Orthoperus

Orthoperus
Marlton, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
October 6, 2007
Size: Maybe around 1 mm?
We were out trimming some plants in the yard when I noticed this on the trash can. Took a few pictures before it flew away, but tough to get detail because it was so small, and so is my camera :-(
The antenna may have white tips, but I'm not sure.
Minute Hooded Beetles (Corylophidae)? http://bugguide.net/node/view/37509/bgimage (Orthoperus has a tiny head)

Corylophidae: Orthoperus sp.
More likely about 1 mm long.

Thanks!
Appreciate the help. I corrected the size. I didn't really measure it, and I just remembered it being so very small, and I though 2mm was believable, 1mm seemed like I was making it up.
