Possibly Ground Beetle - Alobates pensylvanicus

Possibly Ground Beetle - Alobates pensylvanicus
Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, USA
December 12, 2018
Size: 1.9cm
I was digging through a large chunk of rotten wood when I saw this beetle crawl out of it. I had immediately thought ground beetle, but it could be something else, as the elytra have rows of dimples rather than the grooves I've always seen before.

Possibly very important to note: The underside(would you use plantar here?) of all six tarsi are yellow.
