Male Protocalliphora? - male

Male Protocalliphora? - Male
Goleta, Santa Barbara County, California, USA
April 28, 2016
Size: 7mm
Caught right by the ocean in Isla Vista (on DP).
I used Terry Whitworth's key and ended up at Protocalliphora, I don't see any already on BugGuide though.
What do y'all think?

Do you still have this specimen?
I sent the photo to Terry Whitworth and he said he's never seen a Protocalliphora that has this color pattern. I can't make out the stem vein, so can't tell if it would be Chrysomyinae but if it is, must be something special. Terry actually thinks it might be Lucilia (a very abnormal one or something that might be a US record, I would think). He said since it's a male, if he received the specimen, he would probably be able to ID easily.

The specimen is deposited at
The specimen is deposited at the CCBER insect collection located at University of California, Santa Barbara. I know they'd be more than happy to loan it out but I do not work there anymore.

Fantastic, thanks
I'll let him know.
