Barr, W. F. 1975. Taxonomic notes and new synonymies of some North American Acmaeodera (Coleoptera: Buprestidae)
Overall, the title describes this work. I place it here specifically in reference to Acmaeodera tuta under which name Barr synonymized A. robusta rubrosuffusa. In my opinion, looking on the MCZ Type Database at images of the relevant type specimens, his opinion is suspect. However, it is the prevailing taxonomy, and accordingly I have moved all BugGuide images that were identified as A. robusta to A. tuta. A serious study of this situation is needed.

"The Buprestidae of North America, exclusive of Mexico" direct reference
