Tenebrionid Beetle

Tenebrionid Beetle
North of Cienega Creek, Pima County, Arizona, USA
May 14, 2007
Size: 8mm
In beam of flashlight it has a bluish/greenish cast. In daylight it just looks black.

Moved
Moved from Edrotini.

Metoponium or Telabis
There are a lot of photos in BG that look like this one, with a blue-black dorsum and reddish legs. A nice dorsal close-up of the head will help resolve this toss-up.

Moved
Moved from Darkling Beetles.

Eurymetopini
