brown bee - Andrena crataegi

I think this brown bee is in the Genus Andrena because it has distinct facial foveae. I did not see very many brown Andrena bees as I looked through the guide pages, but enough to know I cannot take this bee down to species. My best "guess" was Andrena wilkella. I did read that it is very difficult to nail down species from just photos in the Andrena genus.

Andrena crataegi
Wow, thanks so much for taking this Andrena bee down to species, John! I checked out other images of A. ctataegi after you identified this specimen and noticed the lack of distinct bands and rather glossy look to its dark brown abdomen. I had originally thought this might be an old bee and the light banding hairs had just worn off. I really appreciate your help as I try to learn the bees in my area.
