Arizona Moth

Strong resemblance to images in BG, BOLD, MPG to Gelechia desiliens Hodges 1938, although so far appears to have been recorded only in California. Submitted for further ID suggestions.

Moved from ID Request.

Gelechia panella is similar and has been recorded in AZ

I've been promoting that these two specimens may be panella. . They are plain like the MPG images. However the BOLD image of panella does seem to indicate very faintly some of the markings showing up on my so-called desilens proposals - the pm line and some forewing spotting. All these specimens are found in late May and at times on the same collection site. I guess its possible they may be variations of same species but my "desilens" examples seem to go further with markings than any current images I know of for panella.

My thought as well
For what it’s worth
