Harpalinae? - Stenocrepis duodecimstriata - male

Harpalinae? - Stenocrepis duodecimstriata - Male
Houston, Harris County, Texas, USA
December 2, 2007
Size: ~1 cm

Moved from Lachnocrepis.

Moved from Oodini.

Moved from Ground Beetles.

Harpalinae : tribe Oodini
is suggested by the Amara-like habitus with wide-based pronotal outline that curves strongly anteriorly. I see at least one dorsal elytral puncture which rules out Amara. Not much detail shown here but try searching member genera like Oodes and Stenocrepis. I'm open to other thoughts.

Thanks Peter.
I'm glad you could make it out with the limited depth of field.
