BG Info says: Life Cycle, Development takes place in bumblebee nests, and adults are said to be phoretic. (Boris Büche).
After photographing the beetle, set it free on Red Clover where it seemed to take a stance, several times, facing upwards on the flowers reminiscent of triungulins holding on to the tips of flowers waiting for a ride.

and a great place to meet up with bees is on the tips of flowers.
