Entomobryomorpha - Desoria hoodensis

Entomobryomorpha - Desoria hoodensis
Packwood, Lewis County, Washington, USA
December 27, 2018
Size: 3 mm
On a garage wall at night, a little bit of snow on the ground. The closest I could find was Desoria hoodensis. It looks like only 3 antennae segments but maybe the first one close to the head is very short or the fourth one was lost. It doesn't look like it in any of the photos but through the lens the back looked kind of flattened.

BTW
I misidentified one of your earlier specimens as Isotomurus bimus. I leave it as an excercise for you to correct it ;-)

Desoria hoodensis
seems indeed the best match. Well done!

Winter hunting
I ended up perusing the entire collembola org page this species was on to try and get it right. The number of species is amazing. Collembola are now the most numerous species still out. Last winter I took a bunch of photos of fungi and when I revisited them recently, there were a good number that had Collembola I had not noticed.
