consider Asbolus verrucosus
can't rule-out a Cryptoglossa however

Asbolus
Very nice, Blaine. Comparing Asbolus and Cryptoglossa in American Beetles shows the terminal antenomere reduced and truncated for Asbolus, but the sensory area is plumped out for Cryptoglossa. Also, Asbolus antennae are flattened in cross section, but oval in Cryptoglossa. And, the Asbolus' eyes are only 3 facets wide at the center (5 wide in Cryptoglossa). Many thanks for the direction !
