Protoboarmia porcelaria

Protoboarmia porcelaria
Des Moines, Polk County, Iowa, USA
July 17, 2010
Size: 2 cm wingspan
On reviewing some older photos, I'm now wondering if the ID of this geometrid as Aethalura intertexta is correct. Bugguide has no Iowa records for this species, but there are records for at least two look-alikes, Anavitrinella pampinaria, and Digrammia gnophosaria. Any help is appreciated, especially on distinguishing details. I have photos from other locations of apparent A. intertexta, as well as A. pampinaria, and some other Boarmiini/Ennominae that could be misidentified. Thank you.
