Found on Thymus vulgaris, looking for Family ID and it if is a predator or pest.

Moved from Mites and Ticks.

Mesostigmata
Mesostigmata of some sort. They are predatory. I think this might have to be frassed because any finer i.d. is not possible based on this image.

 
better images?
I could try to take new images if you think you could get it to family, what are the diagnostic characteristics that I'd need to get? I only have access to a dissecting scope. Thanks!

You'd need to get higher magnification views of the ventral and dorsal sides, without legs getting in the way. This MIGHT allow me i.d. to family, but maybe not, especially if the mites turn out to be nymphs rather than adults.
