Resembles an ichneumon cocoon, but could also be a braconid. Any wasp ever emerge?

Yes, one did.
There was a time (a number of years ago) that I only posted to BG if it was a complete life cycle and parasitoids didn't count. Since then I've learned that there are bits of information even in incomplete life cycles. However, the results of those long ago efforts, many parasitoids, are at the back of the insect freezer.
