Pygmy Grasshopper - Tetrix arenosa

Pygmy Grasshopper - Tetrix arenosa
Stark County, Ohio, USA
April 15, 2005
Size: 1/2 inch ?
I was stunned by the camoflauge of this tiny Grasshopper!

Moved
Moved from Pygmy Grasshoppers.

appears to be
Tetrix arenosa. I have a hard time sometimes with this one and Paratettix cucullatus, but the fastigium sticks out forward a bit more on T. arenosa, and is a bit wider.

Stunned
Thanks Eric. An extra thanks for not making any jokes about me being "stunned"! :-)

Photographs From Nature
