Moved
Moved from
Leucospilapteryx venustella
.
I think this is a better match. Compare the distinct white dorsal stripe on this
L. venustella
I reared from white snakeroot

Y'know, I ID'd this one again
Y'know, I ID'd this one against Peterson pp. 38-9. I don't think they have Astercercops genus at all.

Parectopa robiniella
feeds on fleabane and plantain. It feeds on locust! That host info is for
Parectopa plantaginisella
, and it only actually feeds on fleabane--the person who first reared and named that species initially mistook basal leaves of fleabane for plantain leaves.

I think that's what we have B
I think that's why we have BG and iNat who will hopefully continue to make better than a book - it will expand and people will argue till it's more or less right. A big book with fewer and fewer errors. But still able to admit new species and variations....
