Isotoma delta or Isotomurus palustris - Isotoma viridis

Isotoma delta or Isotomurus palustris - Isotoma viridis
Long Canyon Rd, Riverside County, California, USA
January 13, 2019
I'm having trouble separating these two species -- about 50/50 of the ones we see with this pattern are split either way. What am I missing?

Moved from Isotoma delta.

Isotoma viridis ssp. pomona
Recently I found the work of Folsom 1937.
It is clear now that most I. delta records from California heve been misidentified. They are not I. delta but I. viridis ssp. pomona.

Isotoma delta
Diff = easy :
Isotoma has macrosetae on all body segments.
Isotomurus has macrosetae only on posterior body segments.
BTW, are you sure of 2018?
