Haematobia irritans irritans - Haematobia irritans

Haematobia irritans irritans - Haematobia irritans
Green Valley , Pima County, Arizona, USA
January 20, 2019
Size: 5.5 mm
This fly bit a coworker in the arm who, after squashing it, asked for help to identify the offending critter
The main reason for this post was to share an image of its wing venation, but I am also attaching the two photos of the squashed fly. Please frass if they don't add any value
Coordinates: 31.787949, -111.044000
Confirmed by Dr. Norm Woodley based on the two images of the crushed fly (not the wing photo)
