I have taken many by net in Jan. or Feb. Bishop down to lone Pine, 5,000 to 3,000 feet . Cheers ! Geno

So it is Paracotalpa leonina. Did it used to be P. ursina? Or have those merged? Really cool looking beetle!

It looks like Pericotalpa leonina? Or P. ursina? It's either a little bear or a little lion :-)
