male swift setwing? - Dythemis velox - Male
Dallas, Dallas County, Texas, USA
September 5, 2017
White Rock lake, Reinhart branch. He is a bit tattered and worn so the markings are fainter so just wanted to get confirmation. Swift setwing is the only setwing species I've seen so far so didn't want to overlook anything.

Since the beast is a male and worn, it cannot be a young male Black. Checkered is ruled out by the lack of basal wing patches and face color. At least, that's my take on it.

Moved from ID Request.

Thank you
