Male ant or wasp?

Male ant or wasp?
Greater Toronto Area, Ontario, Canada
About a dozen appeared over the past day or so and some were caught in a gnat trap. Concerned they may be carpenter ant males. Apologies for low quality images.

Moved from ID Request.

The big honker in the center ...
... looks like a parasitic wasp, a member of the Chalcidoidea. Possibly a member of the family Pteromalidae, but I can't be sure about that.

There's little more that can be gleaned from these images, so I'll frass them.
