July 5, 2017: collected a leaf of Heart-leaved aster, Symphyotrichum cordifolium, with several black irregular spots
July 6, 2017: teased open 1 spot, yes, a larva inside, (which I accidentally smooshed)
July 26, 2017: leaf going down, 1 adult gall fly, could not find spent pupa
July 30, 2017: 2 dead somethings (probably no need to include that here)
July 31, 2017: 1 dead fly, 1 dead wasp, 1 live wasp
