longhorns - Crossidius - Male Female
Candelaria, Presidio County, Texas, USA
October 1, 2018
There were two distinct kinds of Crossidius visiting flowers in an area around a spring in the desert hills north of town. Because the species are so variable I can't really pin them down, but can just tell that they are different. This one was the larger of the two and had no significant black marks on the pronotum or elytra. My guess is possibly C. humeralis.
