Harnessed Tiger Moth - Apantesis phalerata - female

Harnessed Tiger Moth - Apantesis phalerata - Female
Kokomo, Howard County, Indiana, USA
August 29, 2018
I understand that id on this species can't be certain from photos, but here's my thoughts: I ruled out vittata based on location, and carlotta based on the yellow costal margin. The fact that phalerata usually has black spots on the collar, the hindwings usually have separate black spots, and that it is more commonly found, leads me to believe that it is likely phalerata rather than nais. Of course, I could be mistaken :)
