Cerceris bicornuta - Wasp? -
Polistes dorsalis
Montgomery, Montgomery County, Texas, USA
January 1, 2008
I have looked and looked and the closest wasp I find is the Cerceris bicornuta - but the body of mine is smooth, not like the images I see on Bugguide. Any thoughts on what it is?
Thanks so much.
Barbara

Thanks!
Thanks so much for the information - I thought I might have had something unusual, but it seems to be a fairly common wasp. - Barbara
