Fungus Gnat on Scoliopus bigelovii.

Fungus Gnat on Scoliopus bigelovii.
Pulgas Ridge Open Space Preserve, San Carlos, San Mateo County, California, USA
February 9, 2019
Size: less than 5mm
Saw it flying by and suspect it was one of the Fungus Gnats that pollinates the Scoliopus. So I looked for it and found it on the Scoliopus flower petal walking towards the nectary, lapping up the nectar. It walks around the petal and then goes under the petal to rest a bit. It had cream color specs of pollen on its body, which I am suspecting. It's not very flighty or scared off easily.
