Size: 24mm
Taken at mercury vapor/UV light. Identified using J.M. Mathieu's 1961 Revision of the Genus Melanactes. The revision does not list NJ for the species, but John Smith's 1909 Insects of New Jersey has it listed with M. piceus but "more rare". Adding for NJ data point.
