Admetovis icarus Crabo & Schmidt, 2018
Dusky brown would make it
Admetovis icarus
. The hindwing of
oxymorus
is a lighter tan. I think you would need to see the shape of the outer margin. See the Info page for references.

Admetovis icarus
Hi Steve
I have added two more photos of this moth specimen. The 'spread-winged' image clearly shows the straight edge of the hindwing outer margin, and the dusky brown color of the hindwings. The additional lateral view shows what may suggest a gravid female. I think it would be safe to move this specimen to a new
Admetovis icarus
species page. The link on the info page to "A revision of Admetovis Grote" has very clear side-by-side pinned color photos of all three Admetovis species. Please feel free to use any of these photos at MPG.

not sure
The ground color of the hindwing appears to be light tan though that might be the result of wear. It's so heavily overlaid with brown scales that I was fooled. I'm also less sure that the hindwing color is useful. I agree that the outer margin looks pretty straight but I see that between M1 and M3 it appears to be slightly concave. (M1 is one vein down from the apex.) I'm following the terminal line, not the fringe, since the fringe is hard to distinguish.
I'm definitely guessing here. The differences are very subtle. I'll try to get confirmation.
Thanks for adding the spread. We currently have no live of either species at MPG so I will use it regardless of which it turns out to be.
