Ampedus specimen - Ampedus cordifer
Eugene, Lane County, Oregon, USA

Size: ~8mm
Ampedus click beetle found inside some red-brown wood that is slowly rotting. Digging through the rotting part of the wood left my hands that very color. The beetle was completely encased inside the wood, and only was visible after i ripped the wood piece off.

Have specimen, may send.
