Melanophora roralis - female

Melanophora roralis - Female
Marlton, Burlington County, New Jersey, USA
September 9, 2007
Size: Maybe around 5 mm?
Thought I would add a couple of more images of this fly. This one had a couple of mites.
Again - quality is lacking.

Erythraeidae
That mite is a parasitic erythraeid larva. Erythraeid species attack a huge range of arthropods as hosts. It just amazes me sometimes though... I mean, how the heck did it get on that rhinophorid!?
