Melanophthalma

Size: 1.5mm approx
Found among Douglas fir cones

Thanks, Blaine.
Have moved this to Corticariinae for now, but I think it may be Melanophthalma, subgenus Melanophthalma, based on the information page, specifically:
transverse depression on the pronotum;
three clubs rather than two on the end of the antennae;
longer pubescence.
It also looks similar to this photo of Scott’s which was taken in Lantzville, a few kilometres south of where we found ours:
