Dung Beetle - Onitis alexis - Male

Size: 15 mm
I believe that this is an Onitis alexis male, based on the presence of the curved hooks on the hind femora. Identified with "Introduction to California Beetles" by Evans and Hogue. Found at gas station at bright lights in Eastern end of Ramona, an agricultural town.
