Bee? - Anthidiellum notatum - male

Bee? - Anthidiellum notatum - Male
Tesuque, Santa Fe County, New Mexico, USA
August 2, 2018
Size: ~7mm
How easy is it to wake a sleeping bee? Nice to believe this pic proves good field technique (vewwy kwyit), but could be just the opposite: degree of difficulty down there with cold bees and dead bees. Didn't try waking this one, knowing how I hate heing woken, but curious what others might have observed.

Very cool.

Anthidiini
I think that this is a male.
It looks like something close to this one, below. However, your's has mostly-orange hind tibiae. Hold on for an expert.
Anthidiellum notatum robertsoni: California Rotund-Resin Bee

Thanks.
You have it to species!
