Buprestidae, Round headed Bush Clover, opened mine to frass - Pachyschelus laevigatus

Buprestidae, Round headed Bush Clover, opened mine to frass - Pachyschelus laevigatus
Decorah Community Prairie, Winneshiek County, Iowa, USA
April 1, 2018
August 4, 2017: collected leaf mines on Round headed Bush clover, Lespedeza capitata, in a planted prairie
September 21, 2017: Conura melana, same collection date and location but different plant

November 22, 2017: the rearing vial was upstairs for months, where it was warm even though there were 3 pupation cells in the leaves, added damp TP, moved to cool green room
November 24, 2017: into fridge for winter
March 27, 2018: out of fridge, into house
April 30, 2018: really wanted to open cells as I knew beetles were dead
May 13, 2018: 1 live adult beetle, photographed the other 2 cells, each with an adult, cut open the cells, no movement, both dead (jar had mold smell, 1 beetle had a few fungal threads)
No need for similar images from this rearing as same date and location, different plant as this one:

“… there is a remote possibility that the beetles are P. confuses
