Head
-- Flagellum cylindrical.
-- Scape (1st seg) of antennae ~ 2.5 times as long as pedicel (2nd seg).
-- Antennae with 5 flagellomeres & without an arista at end.
-- Face one large swelling (tubercle) that the antennae arise from the top of.
Thorax
-- Scutellum with yellow spines.
Abdomen
-- Abdomen 3/4 as wide as long, usually patterned.
Wings
-- Small crossvein m-cu present.
-- Cell d present.
