Moved from Jagged Ambush Bugs.

I know
no further potential but since frass never goes away anymore, I figure might as well leave the sighting at the genus level. Once BG 2.0 is implemented, these lesser postings will drop to the end of the pages of photos but they will still be located at the proper placement.

There isn't much going on in Iowa to document insects at these various small isolated native prairie remnants surrounded by miles of corn and soybeans and to present a list of insects to those who might manage or visit these areas, photos are a huge help. One can use common names, more descriptive to the average person than scientific names, but still not as good as a photo. Yes, a photo is worth lots of words.

Have I made my case for keeping it at genus?

If not, one more try. Check out the listings for Sheeder Prairie. Not very many! We have a pretty complete list of plants at this prairie but no where near a list of insects. Got to start somewhere.
