Small beetle larva? - Eurymerodesmus

Small beetle larva? - Eurymerodesmus
Tarrant county, Texas, USA
March 1, 2019
Small beetle grubs? I found two of them digging in the dirt. They're long and thin. They have a black segmented body with red outlines around each segment. Lots of legs. Any ideas?

Beetle larvae
The general rule with beetle larvae is three pairs of legs only.

It's cool you're checking out the soil--lots of interesting creatures there.

Milllipede
Looks like Polydesmida.
