Small jumping bug

Size: ~2.4mm
I was putting a Dorytomus inaequalis weevil back on some Black Cottonwood after taking its picture, when I saw this on my hand. It has a black band around its neck, and at one point it jumped 6cm to the other part of my hand.

Uh oh
I only saw the one, but I suppose that doesn't mean there aren't more on my clothes. If I itch a lot tomorrow, at least I'll know why.

I assume this is how dogs get fleas in the wild.

...looking for its natural host, whatever that might be. There's probably no need for concern.
