Maybe one of the Mossy Sallows? (Feraliina subtribe). Here's one example that's common in your area: but wait for expert advice!

Feralia major?
I think only Feralia major looks like this and is found in Alabama.

Looks close. The green is very striking. I've posted several Feraliina over the years, but haven't had one identified.
