Size: 6 mm
This adult female philodromid was found by David Vander Pluym on the underside of a rock sitting on top of eggs in webbing, along the south-facing side of a wash in Lower Colorado River scrub. He collected the spider and sent it to me for ID and to be preserved as a specimen. I took a few live photos first, a few days after collection. The speckling on the legs and spinaton on basitarsus I are consistent with Apollophanes (versus Thanatus) and the epigyne appears consistent with this species. Comments or corrections welcome.
