White moth with black specks - Estigmene acrea - Male

Found this guy this morning. Not sure what variety it is but it's about an inch long and did not want to be disturbed. When I did it displayed its wings in an upright fashion. I believe I saw the females nearby in the area, but they were pure white with no spots, which leads me to believe this is the male.
